This 3 day course overviews procurement functions for the purpose of understanding the basic elements that underlie all areas of public procurement. Any government employee who has delegated authority to purchase goods and services on behalf of the government should take advantage of this class. Discussion and content is relevant for those outside the profession who are impacted by the public procurement environment.

To register go to www.nigp.org once you are on the site click on ‘Professional Development’ tab in the upper left hand corner. A blue box will open under it, click on ‘Currently Scheduled Courses’. You will then be directed to a page of search options. Click on the down arrow in the box ‘Select a Topic’ and select ‘Introduction to Public Procurement’. Select the Des Moines, Iowa location and scroll down to the bottom of the page to register.
